Manufacturer: Canterbury
Size: Large
Made in: NZ
Condition: 7/10 - good condition, it was framed, leaving small holes and collar marks as pictured.
I've left it unwashed, so the new owner can decide whether they'd like to tidy it up at the risk of reducing the signatures. Depending on whether you're looking to frame it or not would make the decision.
Description: The holy grail of all Blues jerseys. This jersey covers the Auckland Blues Super 12 era from 1997 through 1999. It showcases the bold geometric pattern and blue‑grey palette first worn in their perfect 1997 season.
Those were powerful years for the franchise. In 1997 they topped the table, went undefeated through the regular season, and beat the Brumbies 23–7 in the final to secure back-to-back championships.
They had a backline full of stars—Carlos Spencer broke through at fly‑half while Jonah Lomu, Joeli Vidiri, and Brian Lima posed real threats out wide . Zinzan Brooke captained the team and led from the back as a powerful No 8 . Up front, Sean Fitzpatrick and Craig Dowd anchored the scrum and were key to the forwards’ strength.
