USAP Perpignan were a force in French and European rugby during the mid-2000s, with the Catalan club regularly challenging for the Top 14 title and making deep runs in the Heineken Cup. The Stade Aimé Giral was one of the toughest grounds to visit in European rugby.
KooGa's partnership with the club coincided with a golden period for Perpignan, with the sky blue away colours of USAP a familiar sight in the knockout stages of continental competition.
