Canterbury rugby in the late 1990s was a powerhouse of NPC rugby, with a squad full of current and future All Blacks. Andrew Mehrtens was orchestrating from first five while Todd Blackadder led the pack, and the province won back-to-back NPC titles in 1997 and 2001 with many of the same core players.
WestpacTrust's sponsorship and the CRFU crest mark this as a genuine piece of Canterbury provincial history, made in New Zealand by Nike during their brief stint as the province's kit supplier.
