Founded in 1915 out of a merger between the Toowong and North Brisbane clubs, Wests Panthers are one of the oldest sides in the Brisbane Rugby League, with 12 premierships to their name and a back-to-back double in 1992–93.
Their red-and-black strip earned them the old nickname "the Mud & Bloods," and the club has turned out names like Duncan Hall, Paul Vautin and Brad Thorn.
