The Illawarra Steelers were one of the great NSWRL clubs before merging with St George in 1999 to form the Dragons. BHP Steel were the perfect sponsor for a team from the Wollongong steelworks region. Players like Rod Wishart kept the Steelers competitive through the 1990s, and their jerseys have become increasingly rare since the club ceased to exist as a standalone entity.
This is a modern retro remake, hence the price!
