The early 2000s All Blacks were a squad in transition under Wayne Smith and then John Mitchell. Jonah Lomu was still on the scene, while a young Richie McCaw was beginning to make his mark at openside flanker. Andrew Mehrtens and Carlos Spencer traded the 10 jersey in one of rugby's great selection debates.

adidas took over the All Blacks kit deal from Canterbury in 1999, and this cotton long-sleeve design was part of their early range. A proper heavyweight jersey built for the terraces rather than the field.
