The early 2000s All Blacks were a squad in transition under Wayne Smith and then John Mitchell. Jonah Lomu was still on the scene, while a young Richie McCaw was beginning to make his mark at openside flanker. adidas took over the All Blacks kit deal from Canterbury in 1999, and this cotton long-sleeve design was part of their early range. A proper heavyweight jersey built for the terraces rather than the field.
