For the Vodafone Warriors’ 25th season in 2019, the club and Canterbury of New Zealand have looked back more than 60 years to produce a strip showcasing the blue and white hoops sported by the champion 1956 Auckland team.
Auckland held the Northern Union Cup and won the inter-district competition beating Otago, Canterbury and West Coast. The team included Keith Bell, Brian Campbell, Bevin Hough, Alan Riechelmann and George Turner, all Kiwis during their careers.
