Connacht in 2006 were the perennial underdogs of Irish provincial rugby, scrapping for every win in the Celtic League while operating on a fraction of the budget of Leinster or Munster. Eric Elwood was still involved with the province during this period, a true Connacht legend.
The Rugbytech era of Connacht kits is increasingly hard to find. Based out of the Sportsground in Galway, the western province was building the foundations for what would eventually become one of European rugby's great underdog stories.
