Before they became the Sydney Roosters in 1995, Eastern Suburbs were one of the foundation clubs of the NSWRL competition. This jersey carries the original Eastern Suburbs rooster crest alongside the NSWRL badge, a piece of rugby league history from the Bondi Junction faithful.
The early 1990s saw the club struggling on the field but laying the groundwork for the dynasty that would follow under the Roosters rebrand. Players like Mark Coyne and Sean Garlick wore this design during a transitional era for the club.
