Description: An epic jersey from this historic club in South Wales. I love the bold amber and blacks design. A vintage gem from one of Newport RFC’s last full seasons before regional reshuffle.
This is Temex, the legendary rugby fabric made by Canterbury of NZ in the late 90s and early 2000s. I've made plenty of content about it, truly representing a window in rugby history and one of the most hard wearing and comfortable fabrics ever made.
However, i've never seen another Newport Temex jersey, and so this has me stumped! Their kit was made by Cotton Traders, then KooGa, which makes me wonder whether this is a sample. A very cool piece for Temex collectors!
